This position supports our workers' compensation line of business, Eastern Alliance, and is hybrid, reporting to one of our Eastern Alliance office locations approximately two times per month. We are filling two openings. This position is responsible for the accurate completion of assigned field audits in a professional, ethical manner, consistent with company and state guidelines. Establishes appropriate classifications, exposures and basis of premium. Manages time and workload so as to maximize number of audits performed and minimize expenses. Recommends corrective action necessary to resolve problems that are found during audit process. Prepares necessary numerical and written reports. Advises appropriate party of any changes in customer’s operations, payrolls, attitudes, financial stability, etc.
What you'll do:
60% - Responsible for selecting audit assignments, performing territorial management of process with focus on larger accounts, productivity, timeliness, and expense management. Conduct various types of audits reviewing the insured’s business operations, including examining, verifying and recording pertinent classification-related data from financial/business records.
Ability to work remotely, independently, with minimal oversight and supervision.
Discuss issues with the insured to ensure understanding of issues and to maintain good customer relations.
20% - Office work performing scheduling of assigned audits, transmitting completed audits, and inventory management.
10% - Assist with management as needed. For example, training of new staff.
5% - Handle and oversee audit disputes and non-cooperative audits as needed. Communicate audit results and decisions to customers respecting business relationships. Identify issues to be addressed by underwriter.
5% - Attend related training seminars as needed. Travel, possibly overnight on occasional basis.
