Overview
Open to Internal/External candidates. Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) has an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk, supporting TOS II, at Arnold Air Force Base in Arnold, TN. Accounts Payable Clerk will be working as a member of an integrated team responsible for supporting the United States Air Force Test Operations and Sustainment efforts.
Job Summary
The successful candidate will perform varied professional accounting or financial work requiring the standardized application of well-established principles, theories, concepts, and practices. The candidate will process varied financial transactions in the Accounts Payable department. Develop sound, practical solutions to a wide range of accounting, financial, and tax problems where guidelines are well defined and alert management when issues are identified.
Job Duties:
Review and verify vendor invoices for accuracy and proper approval.
Match invoices to purchase orders and resolve billing discrepancies.
Process and pay invoices for subcontracts, purchase of material, and services.
Process and pay employee travel reimbursements and miscellaneous expenses.
Review and verify accuracy of posting entries to basic accounting documents.
Prepare detailed schedules and reports as applicable.
Maintain accounting records.
Reconcile accounts.
It is a condition of employment to wear company issued PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policy.
Performs other related duties as required.
Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent, plus 60 completed semester credit hours (or an associate degree) and a minimum of four (4) years of experience in maintaining accounting records and preparing basic accounting documents; OR a high school diploma or equivalent and six (6) years of relevant experience.
Due to Air Force Security requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required for employment at AEDC.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense Secret level security clearance and access to the AEDC local area network.
Preferred Qualifications
Basic knowledge of and experience related to fundamental accounting concepts and principles, and government requirements.
Excellent skills in working with and communicating effectively orally and in writing with internal and external personnel.
Very proficient in computer applications and common Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Experience with Costpoint and Oracle Work and Asset Management.
