Job Summary
The Senior Process Control Engineer is responsible for delivering Advanced Process Control (APC) and digitalization solutions to enhance safety, energy efficiency, process performance, and product optimization across Aster’s refinery and chemical operations. The role evaluates and implements emerging technologies, including AI and Machine Learning (AI/ML) , to maximize the value of operational data and improve organizational capabilities.
The role also provides digitalization leadership , drives the adoption of digital solutions across the organization, and builds internal capabilities through collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
Job Responsibilities:
Evaluate, develop, and implement APC, AI/ML, and other digitalization solutions to realize optimization opportunities across refinery and chemical units.
Identify opportunities to improve process automation, control, and optimization, working closely with APC engineers and relevant stakeholders to address performance gaps.
Engage stakeholders and support users in the adoption and effective utilization of optimization and digital technologies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and IT to ensure digital solutions are implemented safely, securely, and effectively.
Develop, maintain, and continuously improve digital solutions to maximize functionality, utilization, and business value.
Build digital capabilities and resources within the Process Technology Department through knowledge sharing, coaching, and collaboration.
Manage projects and vendors to ensure the timely and effective delivery of digital and optimization solutions.
