About this role Instruct college students in accordance with educational theories and techniques. Develops discipline related curricula, assess student learning, participates in program evaluation, and college activities. Maintains college and department standards in support of the College's mission and strategic plan. Work schedule varies according to teaching assignment. Varies What an Adjunct Instructor’s Day looks like :  Develops, maintains, interprets, and executes administrative procedures and practices. This activity includes developing and maintaining manuals regarding the College's policies, procedures, rules, and standards.  Analyzes class and program needs of the College. Determines and recommends the retention or deletion of courses.  Develops and coordinates program and course schedules, faculty assignments, and test dates. Maintains calendar as necessary to track these schedules and adjusts as required.  Assist students and program curriculum, program and course reviews, and articulation activities.    We’d love to hear from you if you have the following:   Education and Experience: Master’s degree in Horticulture, Botany, or Agriculture/Agriscience or Master’s degree and 18 graduate semester hours in Horticulture, Botany, or Agriculture/Agriscience    OR Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture, Botany, or Agriculture/Agriscience and demonstrated competencies in the teaching discipline or Bachelor’s degree or higher  AND Documentation in two or more of the following: a. Professional certification (national, regional or state) b. Three years or more of in-field professional employment c. Documented evidence of teaching excellence, including the date of the award.   The work schedule varies according to the teaching assignment. Knowledge of:  Microsoft Office Professional or similar applications Utilize Canvas Learning Management System and other instructional technologies Ability to:  Interact positively with diverse populations and varying education levels of students, faculty, staff, and the public.
