Administrator/Customer Advisor (12 Month Fixed Term)

Severn Trent Water supplies clean, safe drinking water to millions of customers across the Midlands and surrounding areas. The company is committed to delivering reliable water services, reducing leakage, investing in infrastructure, and protecting the environment for future generations. Through its Severn Trent Clean Water contract, the team play a vital role in maintaining the region's water distribution network. Responsibilities include repairing water mains and associated assets, delivering reinstatement and traffic management services, and supporting AMP8 objectives through leakage reduction, network renewal, and lead pipe replacement programmes. Purpose of the role: We are actively seeking a Customer Advisor/Administrator to join our friendly, dedicated team on a 12 Month Fixed-Term Contract , with the potential for the to become permanent. This newly created position will support the ongoing development of the STW Clean Water contract, working on key data migration, system integration and automation projects across the business. This is an excellent opportunity for organised and detail-focused individuals who enjoy working with data, building relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and contributing to the development of new processes and ways of working. Location: Pride Park, Derby, DE24 8JH OR Vocun Yard, Stoney Gate Road, Spondon, DE21 7RX Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm Lunch Break: 30 minutes Salary: from £26,500 - £28,000 Key Responsibilities: Extracting data from the STW system and accurately uploading it into the Sapphire BigChange system. Updating and maintaining records across parallel systems during a period of system integration and automation. Performing data entry, data validation and data quality checks to ensure information remains accurate and up to date. Liaising with field-based operatives to obtain missing, incomplete or incorrect information. Supporting customers by providing information and responding to enquiries as required. Working closely with IT and operational teams to support ongoing system improvement and automation initiatives. Maintaining accurate records and ensuring data integrity across multiple platforms.
