Position Summary: The Advanced Manufacturing Engineer (AME) is responsible for developing, validating, and launching manufacturing processes, equipment, tooling, and production systems required to support new product introductions and major product changes. The AME serves as the primary link between Product Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and Manufacturing Operations to ensure products are designed for manufacturability and can be produced safely, efficiently, and at target cost and quality levels. Responsibilities include manufacturing process development, equipment and tooling specification, production line design, DFM/DFA activities, APQP deliverables, pilot builds, production readiness, and launch execution. Leads the industrialization of new products by developing manufacturing strategies, production processes, tooling, automation, and assembly and test systems that enable successful product launches and scalable production. Collaborates with engineering and operations teams to ensure manufacturing readiness, production capability, quality performance, and achievement of long-term business objectives. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Process Engineering and Manufacturing Development Lead new product introduction (NPI) activities and manufacturing planning in collaboration with R&D. Drive Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) improvements to ensure successful product launches. Develop, implement, and optimize assembly, testing, and manufacturing processes to improve safety, quality, capacity, and efficiency. Design manufacturing layouts, workflows, and material flow to maximize productivity and space utilization. Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, including process flows, work instructions, PFMEAs, and standard operating procedures.
