If there is alignment now or in the near future, we reach out. The Opportunity We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Newaygo region seeking Advanced Quality Engineers. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement advanced quality control plans and inspection procedures. Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions for complex quality issues. Utilize statistical process control (SPC) and other data analysis tools to monitor and improve product quality and manufacturing processes. Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to ensure quality is integrated into new product development and process improvements. Conduct supplier quality audits and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain. Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior quality engineers and manufacturing personnel. Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies. Represent the quality department in cross-functional project teams, ensuring adherence to quality standards and customer requirements. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality management, or a related technical field. 5+ years of experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing environment. ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or equivalent certification. Demonstrated expertise in statistical process control (SPC), measurement system analysis (MSA), and other quality tools. Proficient in root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma). Experience with ISO 9001 and other relevant quality management systems. Bonus Qualifications ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification. Experience with statistical software packages (e.g., Minitab, JMP). Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
