Aerospace Design Engineer (Design Engineering Product Specialist) – Camarillo, CA (relocation assistance available) | Full Time | $160,000–$190,000 | Engineering – Engineering Design Job Description The Design Engineering Product Specialist serves as a technical expert on internal research and development (new technology), new product development, and sustaining engineering, with emphasis on military/commercial electrical wiring system components such as connectors, backshells, conduit assemblies, and cable assemblies. Reports to upper management and advises customers, suppliers, and industry groups. Key Requirements Bachelor's degree required 5+ years in product engineering for interconnect development, analysis, and testing Leadership experience delegating tasks and coaching junior engineers Proficiency in failure investigation methodologies (8D, RedX) Product qualification program leadership experience CAD/3D modeling skills aligned with ASME Y14.5 standards Materials science expertise covering metals, polymers, and composites PDM/PLM system proficiency for document management
