Then, watch for a unique link in your email to apply.   Reporting to the Manager, Investment Accounting, the Analyst is a key team contributor supporting high-quality and timely execution of monthly accounting and general ledger close activities and financial reporting for certain OMERS investment entities and business units. The incumbent will build strong foundational knowledge of investment accounting, systems, internal controls, audit evidence, and stakeholder requirements, collaborate with cross-functional teams and participate in process improvements. You will be responsible for: Executing monthly close tasks accurately and on time, collecting, organizing, and analyzing information from a variety of sources. Preparation of standard journal entries, reconciliations, workpapers, and initial variance analyses for review, performing reasonableness and completeness checks. Supporting financial statement schedules, note disclosure inputs, investment roll forwards, reports, and audit evidence requests. Leveraging technology and automation tools to improve task efficiency, data quality, and process consistency while ensuring appropriate internal controls. Developing foundational knowledge of OMERS’ investment accounting processes, systems, investment entity activities, and technical accounting requirements. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to obtain and/or verify inputs for monthly and quarterly reports as necessary. Seeking feedback, incorporating review comments, and building ownership of assigned deliverables while contributing to a collaborative team culture. Required Skills & Experience:  Professional Qualifications: 2+ years of relevant experience, which may include co-op, accounting, audit, fund administration, or investment accounting. Working towards a CPA designation. Execution & Documentation Quality: Strong attention to detail, organization, reliability, and follow-through on assigned work, with care for accuracy.
