To strengthen our current and future game development teams, we are looking for a Spine Animator Intern. You should have a solid understanding of animation fundamentals and be eager to learn how to use Spine for game development. Previous experience with Spine is a plus, but not required. You will primarily work with the Monster Legends and Dragon City teams, helping to create engaging character animations, VFX, and additional game assets such as UI elements.
What you’ll do
As an Animator intern, you will work closely with the rest of the team to create high-quality in-game animations. You will help ensure that animations are consistent with the project’s visual style and have the right energy and personality to support the creative vision.
Collaborate with other animators, artists, software developers, designers and producers to ensure a consistent product vision.
Participate in animation reviews, respond to constructive feedback professionally, and contribute feedback to your teammates.
Prepare assets so they are game-ready and compliant with our technical guidelines.
Learn and apply best practices for Spine animation within a game production pipeline.
What we’re looking for
Experience with 2D animation, either professionally, academically, or through personal projects, or a strong comparable animation skill set.
A strong understanding of core animation principles such as timing, weight, anticipation, posing, spacing, and follow-through.
Basic knowledge of cut-out and/or skeletal animation techniques.
A portfolio demonstrating your ability to create appealing, high-quality animations in different styles.
Creativity, curiosity, attention to detail, and a passion for animation and games.
