Job Summary
Job Description
Designs and maintains various agency utilized applications/solutions using the available resources.
Analyzes functional requirements and translate them into best fit solutions.
Completes projects and frequently transitions between projects and application support.
Provides technical support to Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) staff involving agency utilized applications by diagnosing technical problems and identifying appropriate solutions through research.
Triages, prioritizes, and fulfills maintenance and support requests submitted through the ticket system.
Researches and implements agency utilized applications best practices
Develops, produces, distributes, and updates training materials in the form of guides, videos, PowerPoint presentations, etc. to LDH employees and internal Application Support & Training staff.
Provides training of agency utilized applications to staff as necessary.
Helps train new unit employees.
Works with the Coordinator 3 and Unit Supervisor to develop and implement testing plans for new software development.
Takes lead in SharePoint site creation, maintenance, and custom development for all LDH users.
Other tasks as directed.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s degree, or Associates degree with 3 years of professional experience, or 6 years of professional experience in lieu of degree
Minimum 1 year professional experience working with agency utilized applications or solutions.
Minimum 1 year professional experience with content development or application solution development.
Excellent analytical skills, effective organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work in a team environment
Great attention to detail and follow up, and verbal/written communications skills.
Ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
DESIRED:
Advanced degree.
Minimum 2 years professional experience working with agency utilized applications or solutions.
Minimum 2 years professional experience with content development or application solution development.
Minimum 2 years of experience in managing projects, assignments and competing priorities.
MOUS, ACE, MCT or other relevant industry certifications.
SALARY: 55-65k
