Application Tester YE

We are seeking a detail-oriented, analytical, and quality-focused Application Tester to evaluate software applications and ensure they function correctly, meet business requirements, and provide a reliable user experience. The ideal candidate will have strong testing and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify defects, validate application functionality, and collaborate with development and product teams throughout the software development lifecycle. Responsibilities Execute manual and automated tests to validate application functionality and quality. Review requirements, user stories, and specifications to identify testing needs. Create and maintain test cases, test scenarios, test scripts, and testing documentation. Perform functional, regression, integration, system, usability, and exploratory testing. Identify, reproduce, document, and track application defects. Provide clear reproduction steps, expected results, actual results, and supporting evidence for reported issues. Retest resolved defects and perform regression testing after application updates. Validate application functionality against business and technical requirements. Perform cross-browser, cross-platform, mobile, and device testing when required. Test application interfaces, workflows, integrations, and data flows. Collaborate with developers, product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to investigate and resolve issues. Monitor testing results and communicate quality risks and concerns. Support release testing, deployment validation, and production verification activities. Maintain accurate records of test results, defects, and testing progress. Identify opportunities to improve testing processes, tools, and application quality. Required Skills Strong understanding of software testing and quality assurance principles . Excellent attention to detail and analytical thinking. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. Experience creating and executing test cases and test scenarios. Ability to identify, reproduce, and clearly document application defects. Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools. Understanding of functional, regression, integration, system, and exploratory testing. Knowledge of web and mobile application testing. Basic knowledge of APIs, databases, and SQL is beneficial. Familiarity with automated testing concepts and tools. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate technical issues clearly and professionally. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
