Overview Assistant Land Manager | BJB Land & Development The Assistant Land Manager role is part of the BJB Land & Development Team which covers the West Midlands, Staffordshire, Derbyshire, Cheshire & the North West. The role offers a varied working environment, with regular travel across the region. The department deals with all aspects of Residential Development, but focuses mainly on the sale of residential development land, either by Auction, Informal Tender or Private Treaty, with elements of valuation, development appraisal, new homes pricing and all other matters related to residential development. Benefits of working as an Assistant Land Manager at Butters John Bee: OTE of £40,000 Company car Company mobile and laptop Full time working hours: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm On site role, with weekly travel across our developmnets Duties will include the following: • Assist the team in winning new business by researching Land & New Homes opportunities and lead generation using various internet portals and marketing tools. • Arranging and attending Client and site meetings as necessary to support the Team in winning new business. • Liaise with all BJB branches and assist in the marketing of all Auction Land Lots, including the preparation of marketing information, Client liaison, and negotiation with bidders and sales progression via liaison with solicitors. • Assist the Team with the marketing and sale of larger residential development sites, including the preparation of marketing information, Client liaison, fielding enquiries and sales progression via liaison with solicitors. • Attend team meetings and work-related functions as required. • Any other duties commensurate with the role. The opportunity could possibly suit: - A graduate with a property related degree – support for the RICS APC can be given. - An estate agent who is looking to further their career. - An individual with no previous property experience but with a “can do” approach. - An individual with land experience who is disillusioned with their current role. Essential requirements include: • The ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision. • Self-Motivation and a willingness to succeed in a property related environment. • Tenacity to win new business • Excellent communication skills at all levels and not afraid to pick up the phone. • Excellent IT skills • Willingness to find solutions when problems arise - which they will. • Full driving licence for a manual car. • A thick skin - the development world is not for the faint hearted.
