We're looking for an Assistant Manager – Construction who enjoys turning plans into reality. In this role, you'll work alongside various departments across the nursery, and outside contractors to help bring projects from planning and design through construction and closeout . You'll have the opportunity to coordinate projects, monitor budgets and schedules, review plans and specifications, solve problems in the field, and help ensure every project is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. Overview: The Assistant Manager - Construction will support the advancement of nursery projects and overall nursery facility goals. A qualified candidate will possess leadership and organization skills to assist with company expansion as well as maintenance. The purpose of this job is to assist the project manager with managing multiple projects, including quality assurance, timely completion, efficient integration, project budgets, and administration of the various stages of design and construction projects. This individual will work directly with the Project Manager, Construction crew leaders, and Sub-Contractors to assist in coordinating all functions of nursery construction and maintenance from pre-construction through closeout of projects. Primary Responsibilities: Assist Project Manager with inspections, site visits, and design changes Assist in the design process for each project Communicate effectively with Construction Team and Subcontractors Perform take-off of material quantities to generate project estimates Review quotations based on cost and completeness of scope Update, manage, and distribute drawings and specifications to all parties needed Oversee all phases of the installation process and report status responsible for ensuring completion of all required inspections Manage and resolve conflicts regarding scope and/or cost throughout the project Perform site visits and attend site meetings Report project status, update schedule, and monitor subcontractor…
