We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Manager to strengthen our Warehouse & Inventory function and ensure smooth, accurate, and timely handling of goods across our supply chain.
Job Summary
The Assistant Manager – Warehouse & Inventory will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring accurate inventory control, and supporting the organization's supply chain efficiency. This role requires close coordination with cross-functional teams to ensure inventory accuracy, timely dispatch, and continuous process improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Warehouse Operations
Plan, coordinate, and monitor the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods
Manage daily inventory operations including inbound, outbound, and returns processing
Ensure warehouse layout, storage practices, and handling procedures meet operational and safety standards
Inventory Management
Ensure continuous inventory availability; proactively flag low-stock and out-of-stock SKUs
Maintain inventory health through periodic checks, cycle counts, and wall-to-wall physical counts
Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies in a timely manner
Maintain accurate inventory logs, records, and documentation
Reporting & Process Improvement
Develop and maintain KPIs, dashboards, and performance metrics for warehouse and inventory operations
Prepare weekly and monthly inventory reports for Management review
Devise and implement strategies to optimize inventory control procedures and reduce inventory loss/shrinkage
Document and continuously improve standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Collaborate with warehouse staff, procurement, logistics, and other cross-functional teams to ensure business goals are met
Coordinate with vendors/3PL partners (if applicable) on inbound/outbound schedules
Support audits and compliance checks as required
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field
3+ years of experience in warehouse and inventory management, preferably in healthcare, pharma, or FMCG sectors
Hands-on experience with inventory management systems / WMS software
Strong understanding of inventory control principles, cycle counting, and stock reconciliation
