Role Overview
We are looking for an Associate Director, Marketing to shape how SquadStack shows up in the market as we build the category for AI Voice Agents in consumer sales.
This is not a “manage campaigns from a distance” role. We are looking for someone who can think sharply, write clearly, build narratives from first principles, and turn marketing into a real growth engine. You will own the positioning, messaging, launches, content engine, website, PR, events and the overall brand quality across touchpoints.
You will work closely with the founders, product, sales and customer teams to define how we tell our story to enterprise buyers, how we launch new capabilities, how we create demand, and how we build trust in a fast-emerging AI category. The role needs someone who is strategic enough to define the narrative, operating cadence and budget, but still hands-on enough to write, edit, brief, review, ship and improve the work personally.
A big part of the mandate is also to build a genuinely AI-native marketing operating system. Not just using AI to draft copy, but rethinking how research, content, launch prep, reporting, website work and creative workflows can run faster and better with AI, while still maintaining strong human judgment and brand quality.
This is a high-ownership role for someone who wants to build the marketing function for a serious B2B AI company at an important stage of scale.
What you will do
Positioning and product marketing
Define the narrative and messaging architecture, including the category story for AI voice agents in consumer sales.
Run every launch end to end: messaging, enablement, assets, post-launch measurement.
Brand, content and website
Build the content engine and keep the brand coherent across blog, thought leadership, case studies and socials.
Own the website as a growth asset: structure, conversion, and visibility across search and AI answer engines.
Lead the design team and raise the quality bar on everything we ship.
PR and events
Own PR end to end: agency, media relationships, announcements, executive bylines, analyst relationships.
Own the event calendar, and be accountable for its pipeline contribution rather than just its execution.
The team's AI operating model
Decide which workflows run agentically, which need human review, and how brand voice holds up at scale.
Rebuild content, research, launch prep and reporting as AI-assisted pipelines with quality gates.
Team
Lead and grow the team across content, product marketing and design.
Own the budget across agencies, tools, events and PR.
Requirements
5 to 8 years in marketing, at least 3 in B2B SaaS or AI sold to enterprise buyers.
2+ years managing people, including a designer or creative.
You have written positioning and messaging yourself, and run launches end to end where you can say what moved as a result.
You have run an editorial calendar across SEO-led pieces, case studies and executive…
