Associate Manager - Merchandising

Key Responsibilities: 1. Buyer Communication & Order Management Handle direct communication with international buyers and buying houses. Understand buyer requirements and ensure timely execution of orders. Confirm orders and maintain detailed records of buyer interactions. 2. Sampling & Product Development Coordinate development of proto, fit, size set, and pre-production samples. Ensure buyer comments are incorporated and approvals are obtained. Collaborate with design and technical teams to meet buyer expectations. 3. Costing & Negotiation Prepare cost sheets and negotiate pricing with buyers. Ensure profitability while maintaining competitive pricing. Track consumption and optimize material usage. 4. Material Sourcing & Approvals Book and follow up on yarn, fabric, trims, and accessories. Coordinate lab dips, strike-offs, and sample approvals. Ensure timely in-house delivery of approved materials. 5. Production Planning & Execution Create and monitor Time & Action (TNA) calendars. Coordinate with production, QA, and planning teams to meet deadlines. Resolve production issues and ensure smooth workflow. 6. Quality Assurance & Compliance Work with QA teams to ensure product quality meets buyer standards. Ensure compliance with export regulations and buyer-specific requirements. 7. Export Documentation & Shipment Coordinate with logistics and documentation teams for timely shipments. Ensure accuracy in export documentation (invoice, packing list, etc.). Track shipments and update buyers on delivery status.
