As a Certified Athletic Trainer, you’ll work closely with student-athletes, coaches, physicians, and Physical Therapists to provide high-quality athletic training services within a Division II athletic program. What You’ll Do Conduct initial assessments of athletes’ injuries or illnesses to provide emergency or continued care and determine whether referral to a physician is necessary. Provide athletic injury prevention, assessment, treatment, first aid, and reconditioning in accordance with standards established by the Board of Certification for Athletic Trainers (BOC) and National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA). Provide services to student-athletes under the direction of the team physician or through written referral from a physician, in accordance with applicable state athletic training practice laws and regulations. Perform proper taping, strapping, bracing, and fitting of athletic equipment. Serve as a liaison between student-athletes and Physical Therapists. Communicate effectively with coaches, student-athletes, parents, physicians, patients, and Company staff. Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with staff, athletes, coaches, and the general public.
