Symbria services long-term care settings such as: Assisted Living, Skilled Nursing, Memory care, Developmental communities and many more specialized live-in settings.
Position Summary
Symbria Automation Pharmacy Technicians assist the pharmacist in the preparation of medications for distribution to LTC communities based on physician orders, achieved by following departmental policies and procedures within the scope of pharmacy standards.
Sunday through Wednesday (Overnight) 7:00pm-5:30am.
Responsibilities
Assists the pharmacist(s) on duty as their primary responsibility; performing these duties as priority.
Fills orders accurately and efficiently in a timely manner, under the supervision of a pharmacist.
Develops knowledge of pharmacy policies and procedures and complies with them.
Any and all duties as assigned by pharmacists or managers.
Duties:
Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot pharmacy automated packaging systems.
Manage inventory, restock meds, monitor system usage, and recommend items/formulary adjustment within the automated packaging systems.
Perform quality assurance checks on medication strips and correct any machine or user errors.
Organize medication strips in clients’ communities according to their specifications.
Monitor and maintain consumables for automated packaging systems.
Meet daily deadlines of scheduled medication deliveries.
