AV Service & Support Engineer – London
Monday–Friday | Hybrid Working | Salary negotiable DOE
Are you an experienced AV Engineer who loves the technical side of the job, enjoys troubleshooting and solving problems, but would quite like to spend a little less time travelling?
We're working with a fantastic, well-established AV business that's going through an exciting period of growth. It's a successful, homegrown company with some brilliant clients and a genuinely lovely, knowledgeable team of people. They're looking for an experienced AV Service & Support Engineer to join their growing technical team.
If you're someone who really enjoys getting stuck into the technology, understanding how systems work and figuring out why something isn't working as it should, this could be a great opportunity. You'll be joining a team of people who are just as interested in AV technology as you are!
The Role
This is a varied position combining remote technical support, troubleshooting and hands-on service engineering. You'll be supporting an established portfolio of corporate and commercial clients, helping to keep their AV systems running smoothly and resolving technical issues as they arise.
There's a good balance between working remotely and attending client sites when needed, with the majority of work based in and around London.
Your responsibilities will include:
Diagnosing and resolving technical faults across professional AV systems
Providing remote technical support and troubleshooting
Attending client sites to investigate and resolve more complex issues
Carrying out planned preventative maintenance
Supporting video conferencing, audio, control and networking systems
Working with manufacturers and suppliers to resolve technical problems
Producing service reports and maintaining accurate technical records
Working closely with other engineers and the wider technical team
Building good relationships with clients and providing excellent customer service
What We're Looking For:
We're looking for someone who really knows their way around professional AV systems and enjoys the challenge of getting things working properly. Applicants must have have experience within commercial or corporate AV, particularly in a service, support or commissioning environment.
You'll need:
Strong AV troubleshooting and fault-finding skills
A good understanding of AV and IT networking
Experience with Q-SYS and Shure
Knowledge of Microsoft Teams, Zoom and Webex
Familiarity with video conferencing equipment such as Logitech, Yealink, Poly or Cisco
Good communication skills and a confident, professional approach to clients
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience with Crestron, Extron, Dante or BSS would be an advantage, as would relevant manufacturer certifications.
