Job Summary Avionics Technicians I-III are responsible for fabricating wire harnesses and cables used in electrical and electronic equipment systems for satellites and space system components for the International Space Station, Artemis and Orion programs as well as commercial programs. Technicians are also responsible for assembling satellite buses and subsystems, and assembly of other complex electromechanical projects This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Cape Canaveral, Florida. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Measures, cuts, solders and or crimps wire and contacts to fabricate wire harness Reads instructions, such as work orders, diagrams, and wire lists to determine materials needed and sequence of assembly Assembles cables, satellite buses, and electromechanical systems. Performs potting of connectors to protect from water/dust intrusion Labels and packages cable harness assemblies for shipment Adhere to all Quality Management Systems standards and procedures Treat all team members with respect and dignity ensuring a collaborative culture is continually developed and maintained. Other duties as assigned** Required Experience and Education/Experience Three (3+) years’ experience as an electrical/cable fabrication technician or other relevant industry experience. Applicants with experience that exceed the minimum may be considered for a higher-level Avionics Technician position. High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in related field preferred. Experience in lieu of education may be considered. Experience working with wire crimping and connector soldering. …
