Summary Statement: The Bar Porter is responsible for servicing the guests in a courteous and professional manner, while assisting bartenders throughout the course of business. This role ensures bar areas are always cleaned, organized, and properly stocked with prepped ingredients.   Primary Job Duties: Includes but is not limited to: Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the bar area. Ensure the bar is properly stocked with supplies necessary for service. Replenish ice coolers, garnish trays, straws, and napkins holders. Ensure bar equipment and supplies are clean and in working order. Anticipate the guests' needs and respond appropriately with a sense of urgency. Perform all opening and closing duties based upon shift assignment. Perform other job-related duties as requested. Qualifications: Includes but is not limited to: Basic understanding of bartender work and/or drink preparation. Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Ability to effectively communicate in English. Polished appearance and demeanor. Excellent customer service skills. Ability to obtain maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies, and procedures. At least 21 years of age. Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Preferred: Previous experience working in a large, luxury resort setting. Minimum Education and Experience: Must be at least 21 years of age. At least 6 months of previous experience working in a day club or resort style pool bar. Preferred: Previous experience in a large luxury resort setting. Six months day club or resort pool experience. Certificates, Licenses, Regulations: Proof of eligibility to work in the United States. Ability to obtain the following: Alcohol Awareness Card Food Handling Card   Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
