Purpose of the Role The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving business growth by identifying new business opportunities, developing client relationships, generating leads, and converting prospects into long-term clients. The role requires a strong focus on sales, networking, client acquisition, and achieving business targets. Key Responsibilities Business Development & Sales Identify and develop new business opportunities through various channels. Generate leads through cold calling, email marketing, networking, referrals, online platforms, and other sources. Conduct meetings with prospective clients to understand their business requirements. Present and explain the company's products and services to potential clients. Prepare proposals, quotations, presentations, and commercial offers. Negotiate with clients and close business deals. Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual business development targets. Develop strategies to increase revenue and expand the company's client base. Client Relationship Management Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients. Understand client requirements and coordinate with internal teams to provide suitable solutions. Conduct regular follow-ups with prospects and existing clients. Handle client queries, concerns, and commercial discussions professionally. Identify opportunities for repeat business, upselling, and cross-selling. Market Research & Strategy Conduct market research to identify new sectors, industries, and potential clients. Monitor competitor activities and market trends. Identify new opportunities for business expansion. Provide regular feedback to management regarding market conditions and customer requirements. Develop and implement effective lead-generation and business-development strategies. Reporting & Coordination Maintain accurate records of leads, prospects, meetings, follow-ups, and conversions. Update CRM/Excel records regularly. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports. Track sales pipeline and ensure timely follow-up on prospective clients. Coordinate with management, operations, accounts, and other internal teams for smooth execution of client requirements. Required Qualifications Graduate in any discipline; MBA in Sales/Marketing or Business Administration will be an advantage. 2–5 years of experience in business development, sales, B2B sales, or a related field. Proven experience in lead generation and client acquisition. Strong knowledge of sales processes and business development techniques. Good knowledge of MS Office and CRM tools.
