Bloom Café Barista

We’re looking for a friendly, energetic Barista to join our team at Bloom Café. You’ll be passionate about coffee, great customer service, and creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere for every customer. As part of this role you will; • Greet customers with a friendly and positive attitude. • Take customer orders and prepare coffee and espresso-based drinks, such as lattes, cappuccinos, and americanos. • Serve baked goods, snacks, and other menu items as requested by customers. • Maintain a clean and organised workspace, including coffee machines, countertops, and the café area. • Ensure the proper handling of cash and credit transactions, and provide accurate change when necessary. • Communicate effectively with customers and team members to ensure high-quality service. • Assist in restocking and organising inventory, including coffee beans, syrups, and other supplies. • Follow all food safety and hygiene procedures. • Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing inquiries, making recommendations, and resolving concerns in a professional manner. • Follow all health and safety regulations and company policies. Requirements The following skills and experience form the minimum requirements for the role: • Previous experience in a coffee shop, café, or food service environment is a plus but not required. • Passion for coffee and customer service. • Strong communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanour. • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. • Basic math skills for handling transactions and making change. • Ability to work as part of a team and support a positive work environment. • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
