Description
McClure Engineering is currently seeking a Building Performance Analyst to join our team.
What You'll Do:
• Develop and analyze whole-building energy models for commercial buildings.
• Support LEED certification and energy code compliance documentation.
• Evaluate energy conservation measures and build performance improvement opportunities.
• Participate in retro-commissioning and existing building performance studies.
• Prepare technical reports and present findings to project teams and clients.
• Support utility incentive and rebate applications.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, commissioning, and sustainability professionals.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
• 4-6 years of experience in building energy modeling
• Experience with commercial building energy simulations and energy analysis.
• Knowledge of ASHRAE 90.1, energy codes, and LEED requirements.
• Strong analytical, technical writing, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work collaboratively with clients and project teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with IESVE energy modeling software.
• Experience with retro-commissioning and utility incentive programs.
Requirements
Work Environment:
· Primarily indoors at firms’ facility, with approximately 10% of time spent indoors/outdoors at project or construction sites where hard-hat and other safety gear is often required (PPE is provided by firm)
· While performing field work associated with this position the employee will be required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, carry and/or climb ladders of varying heights
