Department: Agriculture Reports To: General Manager Job Summary: The Bush Clearing / Land Development Supervisor will be responsible for supervising and coordinating bush clearing, land preparation, earthmoving, and related land-development activities across the agricultural estate. The role will ensure land is developed safely, efficiently, and according to approved operational plans and project requirements. Key Responsibilities: Plan and supervise daily bush-clearing, land-development, and site-preparation activities. Coordinate heavy-equipment operators, assistants, field workers, and other personnel involved in land development. Monitor clearing, grading, earthmoving, and preparation of land according to approved work plans. Coordinate deployment and utilization of bulldozers, excavators, graders, loaders, and other equipment. Monitor daily productivity, completed acreage, equipment utilization, and operational progress. Identify field constraints and coordinate corrective actions to minimize operational delays. Maintain daily land-development records and prepare progress reports for management. Ensure all activities comply with workplace health, safety, environmental, and estate operating requirements. Qualifications & Requirements: Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Land Management, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in land development, bush clearing, earthworks, agriculture, or construction, including supervisory experience. Good understanding of large-scale land clearing, earthmoving, site preparation, and agricultural land development. Practical knowledge of heavy-equipment deployment and productivity monitoring. Strong workforce supervision, planning, coordination, and problem-solving capabilities. Ability to maintain accurate operational records and prepare progress reports. Good understanding of occupational health, safety, and environmental requirements. Experience supervising large-scale agricultural land-development projects will be an added advantage.
