Job Description:
The Assembler is responsible for the precision assembly of complex electronic and electro‑mechanical systems. This role requires advanced competency in assembling extremely small, fragile, and high‑tolerance components using microscopes, specialized fixtures, and detailed work instructions. Sr Assemblers work from schematics, diagrams, Bills of Material, and written or verbal instructions to produce high‑quality microscopic components for electronic test products. The role demands strong dexterity, exceptional attention to detail, the ability to derive and validate component tolerances, and the capability to thrive in a fast‑paced production environment. As an expert assembler, this role also provides training, leadership, and process‑improvement contributions within the assembly team.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate laser‑cutting equipment per documented procedures to cut and extract polymer membranes and components for assembly or engineering evaluation.
Assemble polymer membranes onto electronic probe components, including membrane attachment, clamping into proprietary fixtures, UV curing, and managing cure times.
Perform mechanical attachment of miniature, mixed‑material components using screw fasteners, adhesives, and precision alignment tools.
Perform all technical duties of an Assembly Technician II when required.
Prioritize assembly tasks to maximize throughput based on build requirements, cure times, and production due dates.
Read, interpret, and follow assembly documentation, including Bills of Materials (BOMs), schematics, diagrams, and written work instructions.
Perform simple mathematical calculations, including tolerance stack‑ups, to evaluate component fit and performance.
Assemble microscopic parts and components using specialized jigs, fixtures, hand…
