C++ Software Engineer.

We are always on the lookout for a talent with a growth mindset – are you the one?    We are looking for a Software Engineer with a main responsibility in development VTS (Vessel Traffic System) products. The preferred location for this position is Belgrade, Serbia but also other cities in Serbia are negotiable. We offer a possibility to hybrid work.       Your role and responsibilities     As a Software Engineer your work will include participating in the development of VTS features and modules. You’ll be working as a part of Marine Traffic Control team with diverse expertise.  Your work will focus on these responsibilities:  Design, development, testing and implementation of VTS features  Maintaining and improvement code base  Help in troubleshooting and resolving defects  Performance optimisation and code testing  Transfer your knowledge and experience to others in the team and help securing knowledge in our Knowledge Database  Code review and collaboration  To be able to succeed in the position, we expect you to have:   Strong expertise in development and maintaining of complex software systems with a big code base (about 1M loc)  Deep C++ knowledge, C++20  Good to have experience with boost, Qt libraries  Good to know database basics, experience MS SQL  Experience with Windows API development, knowing MFC, DCOM  Good to have an experience in CCTV, Maritime domains (Chart systems, IALA standards)  Why you and us?      We at Wärtsilä believe in empowerment, ownership and taking responsibility of our work.
