We are looking for an experienced CAD Design Engineer to join our engineering team and contribute to the development of next-generation automotive interior and seating systems.
Responsibilities
Create and maintain 3D designs and assemblies using CATIA V5/V6
Develop detailed 2D drawings and technical documentation
Design and develop automotive interior and seating components
Perform packaging studies, feasibility assessments, and concept evaluations
Conduct DMU analyses and engineering reviews
Ensure designs meet customer, legal, and ergonomic requirements
Support the complete product development process from concept through production launch
Collaborate with Product Engineers, Project Engineers, customers, and manufacturing teams
Manage engineering data and releases within PLM systems
Support design validation, prototype builds, and engineering change activities
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Product Development, or a related technical discipline
Experience Requirements
Several years of experience in automotive design engineering
Advanced CATIA V5/V6 design experience
Strong background in automotive trim or seating systems
Experience designing plastic injection-moulded components and assemblies
Understanding of automotive product development processes from RFQ through SOP
Ability to interpret technical requirements and translate them into robust design solutions
Experience working within OEM or Tier 1 automotive environments
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
