ABOUT THE ROLE
The Capability Development Leader is responsible for leading the development and delivery of the Powertech’s future engine test capabilities. This role will oversee the planning, design, construction, commissioning and successful completion of a world-class Engine Test Campus, including high-altitude test facilities, combustion test facilities and other specialist capabilities that complement and expand the existing Engine Test Facility.
The Capability Development Leader will provide overall programme leadership, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on schedule, within budget and to the required quality and technical standards. Working with internal stakeholders, contractors, suppliers and external partners, the role is responsible for driving the programme from concept through to full operational capability, ensuring the facilities meet the organisation's current and future engine development and testing
RESPONSIBILITIES
Programme Leadership
Provide overall leadership to drive the development and delivery of Powertech’s future engine test capabilities.
Technical leadership in achieving the outcomes of the Powertech Campus
Project Delivery
Oversee the planning, design, construction, commissioning and successful completion of the Engine Test Campus.
Capability Development
Deliver new specialist test facilities that complement and expand the existing Engine Test Facility.
Stakeholder Management
Work with internal stakeholders, contractors, suppliers and external partners to drive the programme from concept through to full operational capability.
Operational Readiness
Ensure the facilities achieve full operational capability and meet the organisation's current and future engine development and testing requirements.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Qualifications
Doctorate degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical Engineering, or related field
Experience
Experience in test engineering or test operations
Aerospace or propulsion testing experience preferred
Experience working in a structured engineering or industrial environment
