As a Carpenter at Ascent Aviation Services , you’ll work alongside a skilled and dedicated team to help construct, repair, and maintain the essential woodwork, fixtures, and infrastructure that keep our facilities running efficiently and safely. You’ll apply your craftsmanship to a wide variety of tasks, from building and repairing shipping crates and aircraft cradles to installing partitions, doors, flooring, and cabinetry, all while ensuring a clean, safe, and organized workspace In this role, you will embody our core values of Respect, Safety, Quality, and Results , contributing directly to the strength of our team. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:  Constructs and repairs structural woodwork and equipment working from blueprints, drawings, or oral instructions. Builds, repairs, and installs shipping crates, cradles, shoring, counters, cabinets, benches, partitions, floors, doors, and building framework and using trim using carpenter’s hand tools and power tools. Installs glass in windows, doors, and partitions. Replaces damaged ceiling tile, floor tile, and wall coverings. Performs cement work. Maintains log of materials used and hours worked. Maintains and repairs tools. Ensures that shop area is clean and free from hazards, and that all work performed is done in a safe manner, including directing activities in a manner that protects employee from harm.
