Role overview
We are looking for a Category Head to lead our Small Appliances business end-to-end. You will shape the category strategy and product portfolio, identify and launch products that meet consumer needs, build strong sourcing partnerships, and own category profitability.
Key responsibilities
Define and execute the category strategy, portfolio roadmap and annual business plans.
Own the category P&L, including revenue, gross margin, pricing, inventory and profitability.
Track consumer needs, market trends, competitor activity and channel feedback to identify growth opportunities.
Build a well-balanced product range across segments, price points and channels.
Identify and evaluate OEMs and vendors; lead supplier selection, sourcing and commercial negotiations.
Develop product cost structures, pricing, MRP and channel margin plans to meet business targets.
Manage the product lifecycle from opportunity assessment and development through launch, sell-through and phase-out.
Partner with sales, marketing, supply chain, quality, finance and product teams to deliver category plans.
Monitor product performance, demand forecasts, inventory health and sell-through; take action to improve results.
Build long-term relationships with suppliers, distributors and other industry partners.
Ideal candidate
Proven experience in Small Domestic Appliances or a closely related consumer durables category.
Experience managing a category or product portfolio with commercial or P&L responsibility.
Strong understanding of product development, OEM sourcing, costing, pricing, margins and channel economics.
Knowledge of consumer trends, competitive positioning and distribution dynamics in the appliances market.
Demonstrated ability to take products from opportunity identification through launch and ongoing performance management.
Strong negotiation, analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
