ABOUT DRAGONFLY CARES
Dragonfly Cares is a mission-driven organization dedicated to helping children with autism and developmental differences thrive. We deliver high-quality Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy where it matters most: in homes, centers, schools, and communities across Long Island. Our team of compassionate professionals are united by one goal: meaningful progress for every child and family we serve.
Position Overview
Dragonfly Cares is seeking a Center Coordinator (RBT) for a full-time position at our Melville center. This is a dual-role position. About half of your week is spent delivering 1:1 ABA therapy to center-based clients as an RBT under BCBA supervision. The other half is spent coordinating the center's daily operations: the schedule, the phones, the families at the door, the materials on the shelves, and the events that bring our community together.
You'll partner closely with the Site Director to keep the center running smoothly, so the whole team can focus on the children in front of them. This is an ideal role for an organized, warm, and dependable RBT who wants to grow into center leadership while pursuing BCBA certification.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Provide 1:1 ABA therapy to an assigned caseload of center-based clients under BCBA supervision
Collect accurate session data and complete session notes the same day
Maintain the center schedule and communicate same-day changes to families and staff
Track cancellations and flag patterns early to the Site Director
Answer the center phone and greet families at arrival and pick-up
Help prepare and set up center events and holiday celebrations
Keep client materials, bins, and center supplies organized and stocked
Support BCBAs with session note audits, data collection, and orientation of new RBTs
Provide session coverage for staff callouts when needed and approved by the Lead BCBA
Assist with center closing procedures and safety checks
Requirements
Active RBT certification required
Minimum of 1+ year of ABA experience as an RBT (center-based experience preferred)
Current enrollment in a graduate program leading to BCBA certification (or a BACB-verified course sequence), in good academic standing
Current CPR certification
CPI certification, or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Working proficiency with practice-management systems (Passage Health or similar), shared calendars, and spreadsheets
Strong organization and follow-through
Warm, professional communication with families, staff, and callers
Discretion with confidential client and staff information
Benefits
Competitive salary: $42,000 per year
Paid time off: 1 week of vacation and 8 sick days
