As a Certified Veterinary Technician , you'll play an important role in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting the veterinary team.
Your responsibilities may include:
Patient Care and Veterinary Nursing
Provide hands-on care during examinations, treatments, and procedures
Perform venipuncture and IV catheter placement
Complete and assist with in-house laboratory diagnostics
Monitor hospitalized patients and provide compassionate nursing care
Maintain accurate and timely medical records
Support veterinarians in developing and carrying out treatment plans
Surgery, Dentistry and Anesthesia
Assist with surgical and dental procedures
Provide anesthesia monitoring and perioperative patient care
Support patient preparation, recovery, and discharge
Utilize appropriate monitoring equipment and protocols to promote patient safety
Team Development and Mentorship
Help train and mentor veterinary assistants and technicians
Share clinical knowledge and technical best practices
Serve as a resource for teammates developing their skills
Help create a positive, collaborative learning environment
