Operate Equipment: Set up, operate, and maintain reactors, mixers, filtration systems, and other chemical processing equipment.
Data Collection & Analysis: Record process parameters, monitor reactions, and analyze results to optimize performance.
Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve process issues during scale-up trials, working closely with engineers and chemists.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of procedures, observations, and outcomes for regulatory and internal reporting.
Safety & Compliance: Follow strict safety protocols and ensure compliance with environmental and quality standards.
Who are You?
Education: Associate degree in Chemical Engineering Technology, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Process Technology, or a related field; bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience: Up to two years of experience in a laboratory, engineering, production, or manufacturing environment is preferred. Recent graduates with a completed degree may be considered.
Technical Skills: Basic experience operating equipment, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to troubleshoot process or equipment issues.
Computer Skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications, including the ability to organize, review, and summarize process data.
Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to accurately record and review data.
Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work across teams.
Safety: Strong safety awareness and the ability to understand and follow safety data sheets, chemical-handling requirements, and spill-response procedures.
What competencies will you need?
Technical Knowledge: Understanding of chemical engineering principles, reaction kinetics, and process equipment.
Hands-On Experience: Prior experience in chemical manufacturing, pilot plant operations, or lab-scale synthesis.
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot equipment and process issues independently.
Communication Skills: Clear written and verbal communication for reporting and collaboration.
IT & Data Skills: Familiarity with data logging systems, spreadsheets, and basic analytical tools.
Regulatory Awareness: Knowledge of GMP, ISO, or other relevant standards is a plus.
