Overview
A Quality Engineer I is responsible for the collection and analysis of in process, test, and field data. The Quality Engineer I will help develop and maintain all companywide statistical quality control functions as well as support problem solving and continuous improvements efforts, as assigned.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, and CI to identify potential quality problems. Gather and analyze data to investigate product quality issues, determine the root cause, and implement corrective actions to eliminate or reduce the cause.
Assist in the development of flow charts, FMEA’s, and control plans for all processes.
Support short and long term process capability analysis and apply basic process control methods to various types of processes (IMR, XBAR-R) by using basic statistical methods to diagnose and solve problems.
Support the audit process, quality systems initiatives, and COPQ.
Conduct Warranty/Product Safety/Capability analysis and trending.
Create compliance analysis, trending, and reporting.
Perform basic MSA studies and prepare basic uncertainty budgets.
Participate in cross functional problem solving and Six Sigma teams.
Assist in developing and maintaining warranty, product safety, industrial statistics, trending, sampling, MSA, tolerancing, critical characteristics, and FMEA, policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as required by quality management
Responsible for producing a high quality product.
Responsible for proper hygiene, housekeeping, and safety practices.
