We’re looking for a Civil Engineer to join our Land Development team at our Wichita location (in office). This individual will assist with the design of a variety of projects that may include residential and commercial developments, schools, churches, hospitals, living centers, parks, athletic facilities, warehouses, manufacturing facilities, and more.
Responsibilities:
Assist the project manager in all aspects of design for land development and municipal-related projects, including site planning, grading, paving, water, and drainage.
Prepare required calculations and reports.
Participate in the preparation of plans for grading, paving, drainage, and utilities with production staff. This will include preparation of drawings with the AutoCAD & Civil 3D environments as well as directing/oversee drawing production being done by colleagues.
Prepare specifications and bid packages.
Attend client meetings to ensure the design meets their needs and objectives.
Work with governing agencies to gain approval of plans and development documents.
Requirements:
B.S. in Civil Engineering.
5+ years of experience in land development and/or municipal engineering.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
PE license in Kansas is preferred (or the ability to obtain said license in a timely manner).
Knowledge of local standards and requirements is also preferred.
Able to work within a team of colleagues to achieve the project design objectives and the production of the drawings required by the project.
Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to handle multiple project tasks. Excellent presentation, written communication, time management, and organizational skills are required.
Able to work under the pressure of deadlines, be self-directed, exhibit good business judgment, and handle confidential information appropriately.
