We are seeking a current Civil Engineering student for a paid summer internship at our headquarters in Spokane, WA. As a Civil Engineering Intern, you will assist our project management team with daily tasks and projects. This internship will run through the summer of 2027, with the possibility to extend.
Responsibilities:
Assist project managers in coordinating construction activities, schedules and budgets
Understanding and knowledge of the full scope of new construction and property improvement projects
Communicate with contractors, vendors and suppliers to facilitate project needs
Collaborate with project management to plan and develop project schedules
Monitor project schedules, budgets, change orders, billings and prepare reports
Participate in meetings and provide updates on project status
Working on new designs, and special projects and preparing detailed drawings while ensuring on-time completion
Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Qualifications:
Skilled in Trigonometry and Geometry
Proficiency in AutoCAD drafting, Inventor or similar drafting software
Ability to read blueprints, construction documents, analyze and interpret building codes
Ability to coordinate with municipalities, suppliers, contractors, customers and internal team members to discuss and document requirements/changes.
Ability to inspect work in progress along with completed work and compose inspection reports
Proficiency in Excel
Full-time availability during summer break
Valid driver's license
