GUATEMALA-BASED CANDIDATES WITH VALID WORK AUTHORIZATION ONLY This is a Multi-cloud position, with cloud platform engineering, governance, security, identity, connectivity, data platforms, and cost optimization all in scope. Position Summary The Cloud Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, securing, automating, and operating enterprise cloud infrastructure across Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS). Is a multi-cloud, with cloud platform engineering, governance, security, identity, connectivity, data platforms, and cost optimization all in scope. This position supports the organization's cloud strategy by building standardized cloud landing zones, establishing secure connectivity between cloud and on-premises environments, implementing identity and access controls, supporting cloud-native data platforms such as Snowflake and Databricks, and maintaining appropriate cloud security and financial governance. The Cloud Engineer works closely with Infrastructure, Information Security, Network Engineering, Application Development, Data Engineering, Architecture, and Finance teams to provide secure, reliable, scalable, and cost-effective cloud services. Key Responsibilities Design, deploy, and support enterprise cloud infrastructure across Microsoft Azure and AWS. Manage cloud networking, connectivity, identity, security, and access controls. Design and maintain cloud landing zones, governance standards, and security guardrails. Support hybrid-cloud connectivity, including VPNs, DNS, routing, private endpoints, ExpressRoute, and/or Direct Connect. Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation using tools such as Terraform, Bicep, CloudFormation, PowerShell, or Python. Monitor cloud environments, troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues, and support production incidents. Support cloud security using platforms such as Upwind, including vulnerability, risk, and runtime threat management. Support Snowflake and Databricks cloud infrastructure, connectivity, identity, and security. Monitor and optimize cloud costs across Azure, AWS, Snowflake, and Databricks. Support backup, disaster recovery, high availability, compliance, and business continuity initiatives. Maintain cloud architecture documentation, standards, runbooks, and operational procedures. Collaborate with Infrastructure, Security, DevOps, Data, and Application teams. Required Qualifications 3–5+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure, DevOps, or a related field. Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and/or AWS; experience with both is strongly preferred. Experience with cloud networking, hybrid-cloud environments, routing, DNS, and private connectivity. Experience with Microsoft Entra ID, Azure RBAC, and AWS IAM. Experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation. Strong understanding of cloud security and enterprise cloud environments.
