Job Summary
Our client, a well-established manufacturing organization in British Columbia, Canada, is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Composites Fabricator / Finisher to manufacture, assemble, repair, and finish composite components. The ideal candidate will have experience working with fiberglass, resin systems, molds, and composite materials while maintaining high standards of product quality, safety, and precision.
Key Responsibilities
Fabricate composite components using fiberglass, resin, carbon fiber, and other composite materials as required.
Prepare molds, surfaces, and materials for composite layup and fabrication.
Perform hand layup, laminating, bonding, trimming, and assembly of composite parts.
Sand, grind, polish, fill, and finish components to meet required specifications.
Inspect finished products for defects, surface imperfections, dimensional accuracy, and quality standards.
Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment safely and effectively.
Read and follow technical drawings, work instructions, and production specifications.
Perform repairs and finishing work on damaged or defective composite components.
Maintain a clean and organized workstation and follow workplace health and safety procedures.
Collaborate with production team members to meet manufacturing schedules and quality targets.
Requirements
Previous experience in composite fabrication, fiberglass manufacturing, or industrial finishing is preferred.
Knowledge of fiberglass, resin application, laminating, bonding, sanding, and surface finishing techniques.
Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment safely.
Ability to read technical drawings and follow detailed work instructions.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
Good manual dexterity, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently or within a team.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing for extended periods and handling materials.
Commitment to workplace safety and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Additional Advantage: Experience in marine manufacturing, automotive composites, aerospace components, or industrial fiberglass products.
