What you'll do
The Construction Superintendent is primarily responsible for supervising and coordinating all the workings at a job site including that of a crew of electricians, apprentices, and laborers. They will establish and adjust work timelines to meet the construction schedule for the project and organize and coordinate all project materials and equipment. The Forman will also ensure that all work installed is completed following the standards set forth by the supervisor, all work will be completed on budget, on time, following all applicable plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards.
Requirements
Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion. You represent Enchanted Rock and therefore, manage and oversee all efforts of employees, subcontractors, quality inspection activities of inspectors, craft supervisors and specialists on the job site throughout all phases of construction.
Manage all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building, quality, and safety regulations; serve as the onsite Safety Director by ensuring safety compliance policies, procedures and methods are upheld.
Perform continuous surveillance of all craft discipline to assure a high-quality standard of workmanship and conformance with approved engineering drawings, specifications, applicable code, and best in class construction practices.
Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques to ensure staff and subcontractors comply with quality and control standards; oversee completion of walk-through items.
Participate in design review meetings and provide necessary feedback during the proposal process.
Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs. Select tools, materials, equipment, and track inventory.
Meet contractual conditions of performance and report deviations.
Review the work progress daily and prepare internal and external reporting on the job status.
Negotiate terms of agreements and obtain permits and licenses to conform to the production schedule.
