Responsibilities
OBXtek is seeking a Contract Specialist- Active Awards to manage and support cradle to grave contract activities. The Contract Specialist - Active Awards will play a vital role in ensuring ongoing contract compliance, modifications, performance monitoring, and timely and accurate closeout of awards. The position supports USAID’s acquisition lifecycle in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policy. This is a hybrid, full-time position that collaborates with Contracting Officers, technical offices, and contractors.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform the full cradle to grave requirements for USAID contracts.
Prepare and process contract modifications, option exercises, and administrative amendments in accordance with FAR, AIDAR, and ADS 302.
Manage contract files, ensuring accurate and complete documentation in compliance with USAID policies and audit requirements.
Coordinate contract closeout actions, including final invoice review, property disposition, audit resolution, and documentation of final determinations.
Resolve administrative issues with contractors, technical offices, and COs/AOs, escalating sensitive matters as appropriate.
Ensure data accuracy in USAID procurement systems and support reporting requirements related to contract status and pipeline.
Support the development and maintenance of standard operating procedures and closeout tools.
Additional Duties as Assigned
Work on-site 3 days per week
Salary range: $85,000 - $96,000. The salary range listed for this position represents a good-faith estimate of the expected compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to; the candidate's experience, education, skills, certifications, geographic location, project budget, contract requirements, and current market conditions.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
At least 5 years’ of experience in USG contract management with at least 1 year of experience negotiating contract modifications.
Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field.
FAC-C Professional, CFCM, CPA, or CGFM.
Capability to quickly assimilate new information and become proficient in topics for which they may not have knowledge, e.g. Government to Government, Title II, Interagency Awards, and Public International Organizations.
Contract requires candidates with no USAID experience.
