The Conveyor Maintenance Supervisor provides technical support for the safe and efficient operation of the 42-mile-long Dune Express equipment. Duties include but are not limited to assisting maintenance in repairing equipment such as conveyors, compressors, pumps, diesel engines and control devices. Assist in troubleshooting issues, repairs, failures of production and facilities equipment and ensures maximum efficiency and effectiveness of operations. Work with planner/scheduler on coordinating jobs and required downtime. Help develop SOP’s and PM’s to improve operations and mechanic job skills. Understands process flow and evaluates ways to increase operating efficiency. Safety: Follow all company and MSHA established regulations and guidelines. This includes, but not limited to: Proper Lockout/Tagout procedures Pre-shift/Operational inspections. Safe operation of plant equipment. Wear proper PPE, i.e., safety boots, safety glasses, goggles and face shields, hard hats, welding helmets and fall protection. Safety meetings with crews Environmental: Proper storage and disposal of universal waste. Report any spills (large or small) to supervisor or EH&S director. Develop SOP’s and procedures to improve employees’ skills.
