Key Responsibilities
Execute tasks across various work centers including dry-out ovens, Turn-to-Turn Ratio (TTR) testing/hookup, and leafing operations.
Assemble transformer cores and related sub-assemblies according to customer specifications, blueprints, bills of material, and standardized operating procedures.
Load cores and coils onto the leafing line and leaf the core around the legs of the coils. Apply blocks, frames, and steel banding straps to secure the assembly and mark the order number on the top frame.
Build sub-assemblies in accordance with operational procedures and quality standards using calibrated tools and equipment.
Test each completed unit using a TTR tester to confirm proper ratio and secure electrical connections. Troubleshoot and resolve issues identified during testing.
Perform rework on damaged or defective component parts or assemblies to ensure quality standards are met.
Prepare and document units for oven loading according to production procedures and required documentation forms.
Scan production tickets in AS400 to update unit status and maintain accurate production tracking.
Load units into ovens using appropriate equipment and follow established safety procedures.
Utilize various manual and power-operated tools and equipment including forklifts, screw guns, air ratchets, hand crimp tools, hammers, pallet jacks, hoists, and multi-lam cutting machines.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Previous manufacturing or assembly experience preferred
Shift Information
1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM
3rd Shift - Monday - Friday, 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM
All new hires start on 2nd Shift unless discussed.
Overtime may be required, including early start times or later end times.
Physical Demands:
This position involves sustained physical activity and may require prolonged standing and walking; frequent bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, reaching, climbing, pushing, pulling, grasping, and repetitive movement; and handling or positioning materials and equipment. Lifting and carrying requirements will be identified based on the essential functions of the specific position and may include loads exceeding 50 pounds, including team-assisted or mechanical lifting where appropriate.
