How You’ll Make an Impact:
The Corporate Affairs Producer will be part of the Digital Media Team, reporting to the Manager, Digital Media, and will focus on the development and production of Fidelity Canada’s daily live webcasts, podcasts and videos.
The Producer will play a leading role in Fidelity’s digital media production environment, working both independently and in visible team-leading roles with the overall goal to drive viewer engagement through our broadcast-quality content.
Ideal new hires will have a business television newsroom or related background, and have an understanding of financial markets.
The Producer will develop new content opportunities based on internal market research, cross-department collaboration and business, markets, and geopolitical news. They will see these ideas to fruition through scriptwriting, directing and overseeing post-production edits.
In addition to producer responsibilities, the role will also require basic knowledge of studio equipment and operations, video editing, and current distribution and promotion methods. The role will also involve supporting the wider Digital Media Team on various aspects of video production and digital events as required.
Key Accountabilities
1. Producing webcasts: Pre-production: As a segment/chase producer, this role will manage the idea development, guest booking, and show promotion (copy writing) of webcasts and videos. This includes a dedicated focus on pre-production planning and content development, leading prep call pre-interviews, and script-writing, all while adhering to developed Fidelity Canada Digital Media best practices.
2. Producing webcasts: Show day: Plan and execute broadcast-quality webcasts with the broader Digital Media Team, providing oversight to the crew’s responsibilities, while personally writing host scripts, directing remote guests, and talent management.
