Join one of Australia's leading private wealth management firms as Corporate Legal Counsel, partnering with senior leaders across the organisation to provide strategic legal and regulatory advice on some of the firm's most important business initiatives. Reporting to the Head of Legal & Regulatory Affairs and working within a collaborative team of four, you'll play a trusted adviser role across the full spectrum of legal matters impacting the business. From complex lending arrangements and investment management agreements to regulatory change, corporate transactions, governance and commercial contracts, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact across the entire organisation. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced financial services lawyer who enjoys variety, autonomy and partnering closely with executives to solve complex business challenges in a highly respected global wealth management environment.  Key Responsibilities Provide strategic legal and regulatory advice across a wide range of financial services, wealth management and corporate matters. Support lending and financing activities, including credit, margin lending, mortgage and other bespoke client arrangements. Review, negotiate and draft sophisticated commercial agreements, investment management agreements (IMAs), supplier contracts, technology agreements and transaction documentation. Advise on regulatory obligations including AFSL requirements, Corporations Act obligations, AML/CTF, privacy and governance matters. Partner with executives and business leaders on strategic projects, organisational initiatives and business transformations. Support corporate governance activities, board and committee matters, company secretarial requirements and risk management frameworks. Provide legal guidance on asset management, investment products, capital markets activities and cross-border business arrangements.
