As an integral member of our Finance team, you will manage project finances, track budgets, and support smooth financial operations across our construction and development projects. What You Will Do: Maintain a thorough understanding of the end-to-end project accounting process, from budget setup through final cost close-out, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all project reporting. Oversee a team of project accountants, assigning workloads, reviewing output, and ensuring deadlines are consistently met across all active projects. Train, develop, and mentor the project accounting team, building technical capability and supporting career growth within the department. Review job cost entries made to project job cost reports, ensuring costs are coded accurately and project reporting reflects true financial performance. Enter and approve project budgets and manage ongoing forecasts, ensuring budgets remain current and aligned with project scope and schedule changes. Conduct periodic reviews of project budgets and job cost reports together with Project Managers, identifying variances, flagging risks, and ensuring alignment between the field and finance. Review and approve contracts and change orders, confirming accuracy of cost allocations and ensuring proper documentation is maintained. Administer the payment approval software application (GC Pay), overseeing invoice workflows, approvals, and vendor payment processing for construction projects. Process monthly construction and intercompany billings, ensuring accuracy and timely submission across multiple related entities. Monitor and review back charges for multiple companies, ensuring charges are properly documented, allocated, and reconciled. Produce ad hoc reports as required, providing financial insights and analysis to support management decision-making. What You Will Bring: CPA designation is preferred. Experience with Acumatica is preferred. Minimum of 4 years of experience in development or construction accounting. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
