Cyber Security Engineer Location: Glasgow – hybrid working (2-3 days in the office) Salary: £50-63K (plus up to 10% bonus and private healthcare cover) Permanent, Full Time Help us create a better future, quicker As ScottishPower Renewables continues to strengthen its cyber security capability, we're looking for a Cyber Security Engineer to help protect the critical IT and Operational Technology (OT) systems that support our renewable energy operations. What you’ll be doing This is a varied role that sits at the heart of cyber security, risk management and operational resilience. You'll act as a key point of contact for business-as-usual activities while also supporting projects across the organisation. Working closely with operational teams, architects and cyber specialists, you'll help ensure security is embedded across our systems, processes and technologies.   The role covers a broad range of responsibilities, from managing cyber risk and incident response to driving disaster recovery, access governance, third-party assurance and cyber awareness initiatives. You'll help maintain and improve our Cyber Management System, provide expert advice to operational and project teams, and ensure compliance with both internal policies and industry regulations.   Operating across the ScottishPower Renewables business, you'll play an important role in identifying emerging threats, assessing security controls and supporting the security of critical OT environments, including SCADA systems. You'll also work closely with colleagues across ScottishPower and the wider Iberdrola Group to share best practice and strengthen cyber resilience. What you’ll bring We're looking for someone with previous cyber security experience and a strong understanding of security principles, risk management and IT infrastructure. Knowledge of Operational Technology, SCADA environments and security frameworks such as NIS CAF, ISO 27001 and IEC 62443 would be highly beneficial. Strong communication skills, a collaborative approach and the ability to work autonomously are equally important.   Experience with incident response, change management, governance processes and cyber resilience activities will help you succeed in the role. Professional certifications such as CISSP or CISM, along with experience of SIEM/SOAR technologies, would be advantageous.   This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the security of critical renewable energy infrastructure while working on meaningful challenges that support the transition to a cleaner energy future.
