Overview
CYBERSECURITY TOOL SUPPORT ANALYST TIER II (MIELS):
Bowhead is seeking a Cybersecurity Tool Support Analyst to support the USMC M26 contract in Quantico, VA. Support for the contract will consist of program management; logistics; asset management; engineering; customer service; research and development of new capabilities; test and evaluation; manpower, training, and personnel; new equipment fielding and training; financial management; information assurance; cybersecurity; and 24X7 enterprise services operations and sustainment.
Responsibilities
Demonstrate operational proficiency with major enterprise Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) platforms such as Splunk.
Utilize major enterprise host-based security suites such as Trellix.
Demonstrate experience with DoD-standard vulnerability assessment tools such as ACAS.
Demonstrate knowledge of information security systems and applications for DoD and IC projects / DoD 8510.01 / Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 503.
Perform intelligence Community Information Technology Systems Security Risk Management.
Utilize Cybersecurity tools such as HBSS and Forescout.
Provide continuous security monitoring over network traffic, system logs, and security tools feeds to spot irregularities that signal potential incidents.
Conduct analysis on potential incidents by reviewing logs, checking firewall rules, and examining system behaviors to determine the threat entered, what systems were affected, and its overall severity.
Research and feed latest threat intelligence back into monitoring tools to proactively adjust detection rules.
Document every incident, investigation, and containment action in appropriate government provided tools or repositories to ensure an audit trail is maintained for compliance and to help the Cybersecurity team refine overall defense of the network.
Qualifications
Three to five (5+) years of cybersecurity experience
Experience with enterprise Comply to Connect and Network Access Control suites such as Forescout / enterprise host-based security suites such as Trellix/ other Cybersecurity tools such as Splunk, ACAS, HBSS
Maintain IAT II Certification
Top Secret/ SCI with eligibility for CAP/SAP/STO access
Strong skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts and demonstrable skills in oral and written communications, examples of technical publications / conference presentations may be requested.
Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
BA/BS in relevant technical field
Seven (7+) years of cybersecurity experience
Requires a strong working knowledge of Information Security (IS) security controls, security technical implementation guides (STIGS) requirements as identified by and applied in the DoD Risk Management…
