Job Type: Permanent Build a brilliant future with Hiscox   Role Overview Hiscox is expanding its use of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform to enhance business agility and operational efficiency across global units. This role sits within the Group Platform Engineering team and is pivotal in delivering scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions using low/no code approaches, with a focus on Dynamics 365 and/or Power Apps Model Driven solutions. You will work closely with solution architects, in-house teams, third party partners, and business stakeholders to help design, configure, deliver, and support robust solutions aligned to architectural principles, policies, and guidelines. About You You are a pragmatic and delivery-focused specialist who can translate business needs into well-structured solutions, communicating confidently with both technical and non technical stakeholders. You’re motivated to stay current with emerging capabilities, trends, best practices, and security considerations that can improve the roadmap and team outcomes. You enjoy collaborating with others, contributing to shared standards, and supporting capability uplift across teams and “community of practice” activities. You are ready to act as a “go to” engineer for a functional area or product slice—without formal line management—supporting juniors through collaboration and coaching. Key Responsibilities 1) Solution Delivery (D365 / Model Driven Focus) • Design, develop, and deploy solutions using Power Platform, including work that supports Dynamics 365 and/or Power Apps (Model Driven) delivery. • Translate business requirements into technical specifications and deliverables, ensuring solutions are pragmatic and maximise technology benefits. • Collaborate with the Technical Lead and solution architects to ensure solutions align with architectural principles, policies, guidelines, and the Microsoft upgrade roadmap. • Ensure alignment with design standards, reusable components, DevOps pipelines, and lifecycle management practices. • Collaborate with internal teams and Microsoft partners to ensure high-quality implementations. 2) Requirements & Stakeholder Collaboration • Work with business and technology stakeholders to elicit and refine requirements, shaping them into clear solution outcomes. • Communicate effectively across technical and non technical audiences to drive shared understanding and delivery progress. 3) Platform & Lifecycle Practices (ALM / Environments / Operability) • Contribute to application lifecycle management practices, with familiarity across waterfall and agile delivery approaches. • Support ongoing improvement of platform usage and performance, helping ensure optimal configuration and scalability. • Provide ongoing support and further development for deployed solutions. 4) Data Model, Non Functional Requirements & Quality • Ensure extensions to Dataverse and the Common Data Model are introduced…
